Browning The Steel:

Then I started the process of browning the barrel and the metal pieces using my sweat box.  The box is approximately 48" long with a 60 watt light bulb in the end.  I drilled two holes on either end with a 3/8" drill bit. This allows convection circulation thru the box.  Placing a thermometer and a humidistat inside the box, I was able to maintain a 80oF with a humidity of 80% inside the box.
