Shaping The Stock:

To start the shaping, the forearm is divided into thirds. Then I filed from the bottom up to the middle line along the bottom of both sides. Then I filed from the top of the stock to the middle line on both sides.

This left a flat plane in the middle. Using a file I rounded over the stock from bottom to top and bottom to top as illustrated below. This rounded the sides of the stock. Next I divided the stock into fifths and did the same procedure again. This provided a nice rounded surface to the stock.
